Married Miss STELLA SHELL of Melbourne, Ark., March 20, 1920. He resides at 2419 North Main Street, Springfield, Mo., and is a practicing attorney with offices at 234 1/2 East Commercial Street, Springfield. He also is a farmer and live stock breeder. Although an active Democrat twenty-five years, he had never held public office until elected in 1938 to the House of Representatives, where he served in the 60th General Assembly as a member of the following committees: Appropriations; Criminal Jurisprudence; Judiciary; Municipal Corporations; Social Security and Old Age Assistance; State Teachers Colleges.
