HALLER, at Blue Springs, Mo. They had one son, EUGENE EMMITT, Jr., now deceased. A retired banker, he now is a retail lumber yard operator and district manager for the Aetna Life Insurance Company, and resides at Blue Springs. An active Democrat and member of the Jackson County Democratic Central Committee for a number of years, he served as chairman of Liberty Loan drives in Jackson, Platte and Clay Counties during the World war. Elected to the House of Representatives in 1934 and re-elected in 1936 and in 1938, he served in the 60th General Assembly as chairman of the Committee on Railroads and Internal Improvements, and as a member of the following other committees: Appropriations; Banks and Banking; Education; Insurance.
