SCHICK (Democrat), Representative from St. Louis City, Second District; born at St. Louis, February 3, 1908, the son of ANNA K. and the late LOUIS SCHICK, Jr., musical director. His family has resided in the Second District eighty years. He married Miss TERESA BUNZ in St. Louis, July 23, 1935, and they have one daughter, MARY ANN. A freight traffic representative for the Missouri-Kansas-Texas Lines, he resides at 2829 Ohio Avenue in St. Louis. He was educated in the public and parochial schools and Rubicam Business College in St. Louis. A pianist and teacher of music, he is a member of the American Federation of Musicians, M. M. B. A. , Local No. 2. He also is a member of the St. Louis Lodge No. 9, B. P. O. E. First elected to the Legislature in 1932, he served in the 57th General Assembly and the Extra Session of 1933 and 1934. Re-elected in 1934, he served in the 58th General Assembly as Chairman of the Private Corporations Committee. In the House of Representatives of the 59th General Assembly, to which he was re-elected in 1936, he again was Chairman of the Committee on Private Corporations. Again re-elected in 1938 to the House of Representatives, he served in the 60th General Assembly as Chairman of the Committee on Private Corporations, and as a member of the following other committees: Official Salaries and Fees; Purchasing and Supplies; Railroads and Internal Improvements; revision; State Teachers Colleges; Transportation Other Than Railroads.
