He married Miss LEOTA HAWK in Daviess County, October 12, 1891, and they have five sons and four daughters. A farmer and stock raiser, he resides at Pattonsburg, Mo. A Republican township committeeman, he has served as a member of the Township Board of Salem Township, and was a member of the School Board of District No. 8, Daviess County for twenty-seven years He first was elected to the House of Representatives in the 55th General Assembly. Re-elected in 1938, he served in the House of Representatives of the 60th General Assembly as a member of the following committees: Agriculture; Flood Control and Soil Conservation; Pensions; Roads and Highways; Township Organization.
