SEARCY (Democrat), Representative from Shannon County; born October 22, 1889, in Winona, Mo.; educated at the Eminence, Mo., high school, the Southwest Missouri State Teachers College at Springfield, and the Springfield Business College. He was married July 30, 1915, in Eminence to Miss ANNA K. WOODWARD. and they have two children. He resides in Eminence, where he holds a clerical position. Long active in Democratic politics, he served eight years, 1912 to 1920, as Postmaster at Eminence, and was County Treasurer of Shannon County twelve years, 1925-1937. He was first elected to the House of Representatives in 1936 and was re-elected in 1938, serving in the 60th General Assembly as a member of the following committees: Banks and Banking; Criminal Jurisprudence; Fish and game; Labor; Ways and Means; Workmen's Compensation.
