He married Miss MABLE R. KUHN at Warrenton, Mo., March 29, 1922. He resides at Warrenton, where he is a merchant and contractor. During the World War, he served in the Aviation Corps. Is a charter member of American Legion Post No. 122, Warren County; a member of the Warrenton Community Club, and active in civic affaris there. He served as alderman in Warrenton in 1924 and 1925. First elected to the House of Representatives in 1934, he was re-elected in 1936 and served as Minority Caucus Chairman in the 59th General Assembly. Again re-elected in 1938, he was named Speaker Pro Tem of the Minority in the 60th General Assembly, in which he served as a member of the following committees: Criminal Jurisprudence; Labor; Revision; Social Security and Old Age Assistance; Transportation.
