MILLER (Republican), Representative from Carroll County; born in Carroll County February 8, 1900; educated in the public schools of Carroll County, Carrollton, Mo., high school and the University of Missouri School of Law. In 1931, he was married at Carrollton to Miss RUTH EARP. He is an attorney and resides at Carrollton. For two years, while attending the University of Missouri, he was a member of the R.O.T.C. Was Prosecuting Attorney of Carroll County two terms, 1929-1933. From 1932 to 1936, he was a member of the Republican Central Committee of Carroll County and was a delegate to the Republican State Convention in 1936. He is a Past Master of Wakenda Lodge No. 52, A.F.& A.M., and attends the Baptist Church. First elected to the House of Representatives in 1936, he was re-elected in 1938 and served in the 60th General Assembly as a member of the following committees: Judiciary; Labor; Roads and Highways; Social Security and Old Age Assistance; Taxation and Revenue; Workmen's Compensation.
