Va.; educated in the public schools and at McKinley and Roosevelt high schools at St. Louis, Kemper Military Academy at Boonville, and Virginia University at Charlottesville, Va. He is in the gasoline and oil business, is single and resides at 3153 Halliday Avenue, St. Louis, Mo. His business address is 3301 Goodfellow Avenue, St. Louis. He holds the rank of lieutenant of the R.O.T.C. Elected to the House of Representatives in 1932, he was re-elected in 1934, 1936, and 1938. In addition to acting as chairman of the Taxation and Revenue committee in the 60th General Assembly, he served as a member of the following committees: Elections; Banks and Banking; Transportation; Appropriations. PERRY A. HOFFMAN (Democrat), Representative from Washington County; born at Bonne Terre, Mo., September 27, 1885; educated in the public schools of Caledonia, Mo., Bellevue Collegiate Institute, Caledonia, and Southeast Missouri State Teachers College, Cape Girardeau, Mo. He was married November 1, 1930, at Caledonia to Miss FRANCES DREW and they have one son, CHARLES ELWIN. Is a merchant and farmer and resides at Caledonia. He saw military service with the 12th Company, California National Guards. He comes from a family long active in Democratic politics. Re-elected to the House of Representatives in 1938, after having served in the 59th General Assembly, he was named chairman of the Mines and Mining Committee of the 60th General Assembly, and also served as a member of the following committees: Accounts; Education; Constitutional Amendments; Commerce and Manufactories; Roads and Highways; Fish and Game.
