On February 25, 1911, he was married to Miss ANNA HARTMAN at Centerville, and they have one son, CARTER L. Active in Democratic politics for many years, he was elected Sheriff of Reynolds County in 1932. In 1936, he was elected to the House of Representatives, and re-elected in 1938, serving as chairman of the Committee on Miscellaneous Resolutions, as well as a member of the following other committees in the 60th General Assembly: Banks and Banking; Criminal Jurisprudence; Labor; Private Corporations; Workmen's Compensation. T. VICTOR JEFFRIES (Republican), Representative from Laclede County; born at Old Linn Creek, Mo., December 16, 1901; educated in the public schools of Lebanon, Mo., Drury College, Springfield, Mo., and Georgetown University, Washington, D. C. On June 21, 1930, he married Miss JESSIE WINFREY at Buckner, Mo. They have two children, SARA FRANCES and T. VICTOR, Jr. An attorney, he resides at Lebanon, where he formerly held the offices of City Attorney of Lebanon and Prosecuting Attorney of Laclede County. Elected to the House of Representatives in 1934, he was re-elected in 1936 and again in 1938, serving in the 60th General Assembly as a member of the following committees: Appropriations; Judiciary; Building and Loan; Municipal Corporations; Railroads and Internal Improvements; Transportation Other Than Railroads.
