HOGAN, Jr. (Democrat), Representative from St. Louis City, Fourth District; born in St. Louis, Mo., October 15, 1885; educated in the public and parochial schools of St. Louis. He married Miss JENNIE DURR in St. Louis, February 15, 1905, and five children were born to them, of whom one son and two daughters survive, along with four grandchildren. Mrs. Hogan died June 21, 1931. He is business representative of Brewery and Soft Drink Bottlers Union, Local No. 303, St. Louis, and resides at 3035 Cass Avenue in that city. Has been connected with the police department and the fire and police telegraph department of St. Louis, and also served as a deputy constable there. Was connected with the old Missouri Beer Inspection Department for several years. Has been active in Democratic politics in St. Louis and Missouri for a quarter of a century, and served as a member of the 49th General Assembly from St. Louis. Elected a second time in 1934 and re-elected in 1936, he acted as chairman of the Committee on Labor in both the 58th and 59th General Assemblies. Again elected in 1938, he acted as chairman of the Committee on Official Salaries and Fees in the 60th General Assembly and as a member of the following other committees: Criminal Jurisprudence; Employees and Clerical force; Purchasing and Supplies; Labor; Consolidation of Counties and Other Subdivisions of the State Government, Boards, Bureaus and Departments. LAWRENCE HOLMAN (Democrat), Representative from Randolph County; born at Huntsville, Mo., June 12, 1906; educated in the Huntsville public schools, Central College, Fayette, Mo., and the University of Missouri School of Law. He married Miss AMY OGLE, May 30, 1930, at Fayette and they have two children, JOSEPH LAWRENCE and ELIZABETH. ASn attorny, he resides at Moberly, Mo. After serving two terms, 1931-1935, as Prosecuting Attorney of Randolph County, he was elected in 1938 to the House of Representatives and served in the 60th General Assembly as a member of the following committees: Railroads; Civil and Criminal Procedure; Judiciary; University; Wills and Probate; Military affairs. HUGHES (Democrat), Representative from St. Louis City, First District; born at Conshohocken, Pa., June 3, 1910; educated at University of Missouri, Columbia, and St. Louis University School of Law, St. Louis. He is single and resides at 6566 Tholozan Avenue, St. Louis. An attorney, he has offices at 722 Chestnut Street, St. Louis. He was a member of the R. O. T. C. at the University of Missouri. A lifelong Democrat, he was elected in 1938 to the House of Representatives and served as a member of the following committees in the 60th General Assembly; Appropriations; Judiciary; Civil and Criminal Procedure; Commerce and Manufactories; Criminal Costs; Pensions.
