Educated in the public grade and high schools of Maryville, Harvard University (AB 1904), and University of Missouri Law School. Admitted to the bar in 1904 and practiced law twenty-three years in Maryville, all but the first three years of that time as a member of the law firm of Shinabarger, Blagg & Ellison. Appointed Commissioner of the Supreme Court of Missouri April 11, 1927, for a four-year term. Elected Judge of the Supreme Court of Missouri, Division No. 2, November 4, 1930, for a term of ten years expiring December 31, 1940. Norma
