WEAKLEY (Democrat), Representative from Pike County; born in St. Joseph, Mo., April 16, 1896; educated in the public schools of Missouri and at the University of Missouri. He married Miss CATHERINE DAMERON in Clarksville, Mo., June 15, 1921, and they have two children, JANET and EDWARD. He is a farmer and orchardist and resides at Clarksville. During the World War he served as a captain in the Field Artillery, U.S.Army. Elected to the House of Representatives in 1932, he served in the 57th General Assembly as chairman of the Committee on State Library. Elected a second time in 1936, he acted as chairman of the Committee on Children's Code in the 59th General Assembly. Re-elected in 1938, he served in the 60th General Assembly as chairman of the Committee on Roads and Highways, and as a member of the following other committees: Appropriations; Ways and Means; Rules; Insurance; Transportation Other Than Railroads; Children's Code.
