Until 1920, a woman who married a naturalized citizen became a US citizen once she resided in the US. My mother's sister from Montreal automatically became a citizen when she married a US citizen in Duluth before that date. My mother, who married in 1932 to a US citizen had to go through the naturalization process. I think UN means "unnaturalized" (is there such a word?). Pat in Michigan
