1909...would there have been a home where an illegitimate child would have been born or placed? I have someone whose story is that a child was born in the family but the couple didn't marry until a short time later and they retrieved the child from the orphanage or foundling home..probably within a year. I know there is a home on like 12th Ave E and 9th st. or so ...that when i was in high school we thought it was a home for unwed mothers. any thoughts? Marilyn
