This obituary appeared in the Duluth News Tribune, Duluth, St. Louis County, Minnesota, US, on August 14, 1910. The age and year of birth were corrected based on the death certificate. Pin Scratch Is Cause of Death Mrs. William Randall, Long Resident of Duluth, Succumbs to Blood Poisoning "Mrs. William Randall, 502 East Superior street, died at 2:30 o'clock yesterday afternoon as the result of blood poisoning caused by a scratch from a pin received on the thumb Wednesday afternoon. "Mrs Randall was 54 years old, having been born in Mariposa, Ont, July 18, 1856. She came to Duluth with her husband 20 years ago. "The deceased is survived by two sons, Newton J. Randall, of the Milwaukee club, and Archibald Randall, and four daughters, Mrs. Arthur H. McGillivray of Naces City, Wash.; Mrs. William B. Blodel, Mrs. F. E. Smith, and Mrs. H. H. Wilson, all of Duluth. "She also leaves one brother, Archibald McDonald, of Smith River, Ont., and four sisters, Mrs. J. J. McGuire of Portland, Ore.; Mrs. William Henderson of New Lowell, Ont.; Mrs. Arthur Nesbett of Cache Bay, Ont., and Mrs. M. McGregor of Aliston, Ont. "Mrs. Randall was a sister-in-law of Chierf Jospeh Randall of the Duluth fire department. The funeral arrangements will nt be decided upon until relatives from Ontario are heard from." "the Milwaukee club" is the Milwaukee Brewers Class AA professional baseball team. According to her death certificate, Flora Ann was the daughter of John McDonald and unknown McPherson. She was buried in Park Hill Cemetery in Duluth, MN. According to the family bible Flora married William Randall at Angus on 24 June, 1874; witness Thomas Hubbard and Annie Randall; J.W. Totten officiating minister. William was an innkeeper at New Lowell, where all their children were born. The family emigrated to Duluth about 1890, where William was a driver for the fire department.
