    1. Another "Cameron" Mystery (Cooper / Perkins)
    2. With a title like that I must be confusing everyone! I just learned that the "Sister" to my ggrandfather (whom I was calling Elvie Cameron) was really Elvina Perkins who married Charles Cooper in Duluth on 20 Aug. 1901. I do not know the details of this fascinating story. I just knew her in my paperwork as Mrs. Elvie Cooper sister to Fred Cameron. I have a theory however, There was a Perkins family that lived in Wadena Co. by my Camerons in the late 1870's through 1888. I believe that something must have happened to that family and John J. Cameron and Millie Cameron took in the child. I do not make this analogy without some family history. Fred Cameron (John's son) took in an abandoned baby in ND. They found her in a snow bank and had to put her in a warm woodstove to bring her body temp. up. They named that baby "Alice" Cameron. She was later married to a Mr. Magee. I would like to think that I come from a long line of Good Samaritans! Well, enough rambling for now. If any name are familiar let me know, Thanks, Dean Cameron
