I think the price has changed. The uncertified copy is cheaper and gives you more detail. The certified copy is very scarce on information. Beware, they will ask you to provide the very information you might be seeking! Dorothy "Vincent E. Hi, folks, At this URL: http://www.rootsweb.com/~mnstloui/slcmndin.htm are the instructions for ordering Death Certificates. Does it really read correctly when it says the price is the same -- $11 -- whether a certified copy or an uncertified copy? Does one receive more information for the one than the other, or is it more difficult to get a copy of the one than the other, say a more directly related person must apply for the one, than the other? Thanks, Vince Summers
If they were naturalized or applied for naturalization even though they may not have completed the process, you could find some valuable information on birth place and parentage by sending for copies of those papers. Writing to the local library in the city/county of the applicable court could yield results at a relatively small expense. Hope this helps. Dorothy "Normand P. Morin" wrote: > > Normand P. Would my brother refer to the in-laws as strickly "in-laws" or would should he call them Father-in-law, Mother-in-law, Brother-in-law, Sister-in-law and such?? About as confussed as when I think of the first and second cousin, Kim Pollard Drew, Ms

The Ancestry.com Minnesota Naturalization Index shows some Duluth McLeans who might be related. However, they are not on the St. Louis County Naturalization Index. Could someone please explain this. Also, if I have the Reel, Code, Volume, Page information, can I order a copy from NARA? Marion Markham who is eternally grateful for all the help she has received from the people on this list.
You are coming through loud and clear! Have a good day. Nancy in Southern Minnesota -----Original Message----- From: Kathie Donahue <bkdonahue@icehouse.net> To: MNSTLOUI-L@rootsweb.com <MNSTLOUI-L@rootsweb.com> Date: Friday, July 20, 2001 2:40 PM Subject: [MNSTLOUI] Test >Test > >

Was there last niight and a lot of my family names are not listed, and I know they died here in Minnesota, and when they died, so people do not get discouraged, if you do not find what you are looking for. Twiggy
I am going to send away for the death certificates of these two people. My mother was an AYRES, and Lyonel is part of this line. If anyone has these individuals in their database, or, in the period of the later 1800's to the first third of the 19th century, lists them in their database, or lookup resource, please do contact me. Thanks, folks... Vince Summers

Hi All, I have been looking for the final resting place for Alexander H. Lyons b. 1806 in NY. He came with his family to Minnesota in 1856. I last find him alive living with his daughter in Delano in 1895 at the age of 89. He did not die in Wright Co. as far as I can tell. I do find a death cert for "Alex Lyons" in St. Louis Co. "Alex" died on 12/ 18/1912. (That would make my Alexander 106!). The death cert # is 1912-MN-021993 Is there anyone who can lookup this cert for me? I would like to know how old this man was when he died. If he is mine, I will order a cert from St. Louis Co. Thank you very much, Dean Cameron
Hello List, I've been told this week that a brother to my Great Gandmother went to Eveleth and died there.... His name was Richard Oliver and was born in 1867. I know that he was with his family in Cornwall, England in the 1881 census and he was not seen in the same town for the 1891 English census. He was a clay labourer in 1881. I was wondering what death records would of been kept as I have learned that he died there... Not sure of the circumstances surrounding his death... I was told that he hadn't married yet and was still single and that his girl friend had sent some belongings to his sister at some time. His sister came to Western Pennsylvania in 1900. A couple pictures were included and one was taken by the Turnquist Studio in Virginia and Eveleth, my guess the year is about 1891 by the way his tie is tied and the way his shirt collar is, and the other with his funeral flowers and the same picture of him in the middle of the wreath was taken by A. Jarvinen, Eveleth, Minn. Does anyone know when these photographers were in business? What newspapers were in the town in the 1890's.... Have any cemeteries in Eleveth been read and put on-line? When was death certification started in St.Louis County? Thanks for any help with all of my questions, Sincerely, William Kemp, South Florida, wok1957@worldnet.att.net
