He then purchased the store but didn't keep it very long. Ultimately it was purchased by Eliel Peck who had a store and the Post Office in Kimball, and most of the stock was moved into town. The information on this is in the oral recording of Ada (Louden) Phillips at the Stearns History Center and also in a segment on Maine Prairie in Mitchell's History of Stearns County (1915). The Mitchell segment was written by my g-grandfather, Roger Stanley, who had owned the store before Loudens. He traces the sale of the store till it was discontinued at the Corners. But I don't have that copy at hand, as I am at work. If you need me to come up with the final changing of hands, just let me know.
