He and his wife Catherine Goeser had 5 kids, Catherine (b. 1856), John (b. 1857), Gertrude (b. 1859), Mary (b. 1861) and Joseph (b. 1863). The son, John, was born in Wisconsin. The siblings -- Catherine married a Vitus Gottwald; Mary married John Jacob Mueller; and Joseph married Mary Pung.
