This is a Message Board Post that is gatewayed to this mailing list. Classification: Query Message Board URL: http://boards.ancestry.com/mbexec/msg/an/TJB.2ACI/131.1 Message Board Post: Regarding an old posting (1999) to the Stearns Co Message board.... I tried emailing the poster, but the address is no longer valid. I too am researching LONGLEY/DAVIS in Stearns Co., Minnesota. I do not have the dates/places asked for, but I might have other information worth sharing. The families of Wildman Longley, James Longley (wife Emma Delilah Davis), Freeman Eugene Davis (wife Minerva Longley), George Davis (wife Mary) and John Davis (wife Almira) all moved to Stearns Co. in 1868 from Hooksburg, Morgan Co., Ohio. Wildman Longley was the father of James and Minerva. He was born about 1810 in Loudoun Co., Virginia to George Longley. I think John H Davis was the father of Emma and Freeman. I know Emma and Freeman were brother/sister. They are also listed together in the household of John/Almira in 1860 Morgan Co. James and Emma were married in Morgan Co, Ohio with E C Davis performing the ceremony. I have James Longley's CW pension file. A listing of the documents is at http://freepages.genealogy.rootsweb.com/~familysoup/james_pens/index.html My family tree is posted at http://worldconnect.rootsweb.com/~kylongley . (Stearns county relations descend from Longley, Wildman) Other Stearns County names in the pension file are Guifford Hawes, Jason Roberts M.D., Thomas J Longley, George W Davis, H E Davis, Wm T Brinkman, Frank T Rudy M.D., Milton E Merrill, Mary Winnefred Longley, E A Davis, H A Pinault M.D., James W Douglass, Thomas Van Etten (attorney), and Mrs Mary E Payne. Eventually, I'll get them all transcribed and/or scanned to the website. I'd be happy to share info with any interested parties.
