I believe some of these belong to your family, but there might have been two couples in Stearns County with the names of John and Elizabeth SAND. I have 2 sisters, Elizabeth and Josephine LUTGEN (daughters of Dominic LUTGEN and Elizabeth FISHBACK), born circa 1880s, married names were PHILLIPI. No futher information. I have a Peter SAND, born 1 Jun 1823 in Schoenfels, Luxembourg. Son of Franz SAND and Anna Margaretha KRANZ. His siblings were Katharina, Joannes, and Paul. Anna had 4 more children by Nicolaus SAND (brother of her first husband who drowned in 1831): Nicolaus (who married my great grandfather's sister, Christina JACQUEMAIN in 1867), Anna, Franz, and Maria. Peter's wife was Angelique STOLTZ and they had the following children: John Peter (who married my great grandfather's sister-in-law, Anna Margaretha SHEELER, in 1882), Theresia, Michael, Nicholas, and Anna. Peter died 1895 in St Cloud, MN. If any of this is of interest, I have some source documentation or could put you in touch with the original researcher.
