On a taped interview with my late uncle from Sauk Centre, he mentioned that his mother made a dish with cabbage, potatoes and bacon mashed together that he called "ga-BEE-zee". Since the family was German, I assume it was a German dish. Anyone know how it really supposed to be spelled? Or have a recipe?
