Anna Christina Neis, born 30 Nov 1838 Dreis (Eifel), Prussia, daughter of Lorenz Neis & Anna Christina Schueller in Dreis. Children (born in WI) Michael 1858; Anna 1859; Christina 1860 (married Joseph J. Primus); Maria Elisabetha 1862 (married NN Grass(e)l); Johann 1864(born in MICHIGAN!); Angel (Engel, Angelika?) 1866 in WI; Catharina 1868 (married Anton Primus); Heinrich Dec. 1869 in MINNESOTA); Alexander; Joseph; Theodore Joseph. The family is listed in US census 1870 at Grove Township, Stearns Co., (Vol. I, p. 3)and in 1881 at Spring Hill MN.By 1890 the family had moved to Uniontown, Washington state where presumably the parents died. Descendants were known to have lived in Uniontown (old correspondence). The family was Catholic. Anna Christina Neis Michels (photo extant) had two sisters: Anna Margaretha (married Philipp Bold, Jr. residents of Cold Spring, MN) and Maria Elisabetha (married to Hubert Zirbes, last residence San Diego CA).
