His mother was Anna Scheblonka. According to the Findelbuch (orphanage) record she was born about 1850 and was Catholic. He was illegimate. His mother was Anna. According to my grandfather, who died in 1958, she was from near the Polish boarder. I have done about as much as I can with the Vienna records available. I have gotten his baptism record in Vienna. The Findelbuch (orphanage book) record, his Geburtsverzeichnis Männlich record (registration for the military done at birth) and his Meldeamt registration in 1903-5 in Vienna. On the internet I have found an Albert Schelonka in Erbenfeld/Dziedzitz in what was Austrian Silesia. Also I a genealogist who has helped me also said that the "on" hints of a Polish origin and is not common in Czech or Slovak. Do you know where your Schelonka family came from in Europe?
