My husband's great grandparents were Anund Knutson and Anna Svensdaither Tjaldal. He was born in 1944 in Bowbells, N.D. Anund and Anna's son Sigmund (Samuel) and Julia Martinson was his grandparents. His father, Anund Hartford Knutson was 1 of 7 children. Individual family members moved to California, where 4 of the sisters still live. According to the information I have, Anund's parents were Knut Sigmundsson Breland and Berit Asbjornsdtr Helleren. Anna Svensdaiter Tjaldal's parents were Sven Asbjornsson Helleren and Asgerd Olvavsdaiter Tjaldal. For some reason Sven took his wife's last name. I haven't been able to go back any further, nor do I have many dates for Anund and Anna. You mentioned Anund's death and Anna going to Bowbells. Do you know when this was? And from where?
