Hi. Magdalena was also known as Mary Ann. She was born 20 Oct 1843 in Rose, Carroll County, Ohio before her family moved to Stearns about 1854. Her parents were Franz [Frank] MERKLING/MARKLING b. 1814 Lichtenberg, Bas-Rhin. He married Magdalena DORN and had the following children: Joseph F., Adam John, Lewis/Louis, Mary Ann/Magdalena, Peter.
