Chisholm, on Sunday June 28th, at 11:30 A.M., Mrs. Catherine Chisholm, aged 92 years, 5 months and 26 days. She was born in Scotland, and moved to Nova Scotia when a child. From there she and her family moved to Beaver Dam, Wis, in 1847, and to Paynsville about 20 years ago. Her husband died in 1862, since which time she has lived with her children of whom there are seven, viz: Daniel, William, John, Alex., Augustus, and two daughters. One is Mrs. J. Stebbins, of Webster City, Iowa, and the other Mrs. Wm. Smith of Beaver Dam. Wis. The funeral service was held at the home of Wm. Chisholm Tuesday afternoon, and was conducted by Rev. D. Donovan. She was rounded out nearly a century of life, beginning her career shortly after the death of Washington, and closing it in the age of steam and electricity. She lived an earnest and useful life, doing her duty well (The Press, 2 Jul 1896).
