William Chisholm, of Paynesville, Dies While on His Way Home. ______________________ Death under very sad circumstances occurred on the Northern Pacific train, which reached here at one o'clock this afternoon. William Chisholm, of Paynesville, suffering from consumption, last year went to the coast, accompanied by his wife and child. The change of climate did not benefit him and wishing to return home before he died he started on the return journey about a month ago. His father and other relatives expected that he would reach St. Cloud three weeks ago and have been in the city almost constantly since then. But the washouts on the railroads detained the sick man and his family at Hope, Idaho, until a few days ago. In the meantime he continued to fail and this morning shortly after the train left Fargo he died. He was an Odd Fellow, and as there were several members of that order on the train everything possible to aid the bereaved wife was done. An undertaker took charge of the body when the train reached St. Cloud, and the remains will be taken to Pay! nesville tonight for burial. The father of the deceased is in St. Cloud and met Mrs. Chisholm at the station (St. Cloud Daily Times, 23 June 1894, 2).
