Their daughter Amelia was the only child between August, and Augusta, and according to her death certificate, she was born in Buffalo New York, but I don't believe anything I read anymore. Augusta married for a second time in 1897 to Andrew Anderson, and the two of them had seven children, the census I have are 1900, 1910, and 1920. All in Missaukee co. Michigan. Hope this answered your questions, and any help I get will be wonderful. Thanks Jeri

The city of Brainerd is in Crow Wing County, MN. 2. The MN Death Certificate index at http://people.mnhs.org/dci shows the following entry: SCHILDT, MAYWOOD CertID# 1990-MN-031022 Date of Birth: Place of Birth: Mother Maiden Name: 05/21/1919 OUT OF STATE NELSON Date of Death: County of Death: 10/24/1990 STEARNS 3. The city of St. Cloud, MN is the county seat for Stearns County. I checked the St. Cloud Daily Times Obituary Index http://grrl10.grrl.lib.mn.us:8080/FMPro for Schildt and only found one person: Name: SCHILDT, JOSEPH Obituary: 1984-07-18-08B (yr-mo-dy-pg) 4. Perhaps, Maywood Schildt died in Stearns county (possibly at the St. Cloud Hospital) but is buried somewhere else, such as, Brainerd, and the obit can be found in that city.

I tried to find its address (since our family lived on or near the same street a few blocks north), but apparently this school is closed. Can anyone tell me the former address of this school, or at least the street (going north& south) on which it was located? It would be helpful so as to figure out our former family address. I believe it was either 6th, 7th, 8th or 9th Ave. N. I see a reference to it in the Stearns History Museum catalog of 11 items dated 1949-80. Probably it closed then about 1980. I will certainly start looking at the obituaries you suggested, although, according to Ellen Nelson Johnson's obituary, Edwin was four at the time she died in 1899. Thanks again and take care. Classification: Query Message Board URL: http://boards.ancestry.com/mbexec/msg/rw/TJB.2ACI/1587.2.1.1.1 Message Board Post: It appears that the person you are looking for is Edwin John Johnson who was born 10/29/1898 in Minnesota and died 9/22/1977 in Dassel, Meeker County, Minnesota. Per the Social Security death index his social security number was 475-42-6871 and his last benefit check was sent to Dassel, Meeker County, Minnesota, 55325, which is also what they show as his last residence. This town is located west of the twin cities on highway 12 just a few miles from Litchfield. Minnesota online death records show that his mothers maiden name was Nelson, which matches the information you gave me in your last email. I had narrowed the list down to three people prior to receiving your email. The other two possibilities were: Edwin William Theophilus Johnson born 7/6/1896 in Minnesota and died 12/1987 in Litchfield, Meeker County, Minnesota, 55355. His social security number was 477-48-9063 and his mothers maiden name was Peterson. Edwin Ole Johnson born 8/17/1893 in Minnesota and died October 1977 in Belgrade, Stearns County, Minnesota, 56312. His social security number was 471-22-8720 and his mothers maiden name is unknown. Belgrade is just a few miles northwest of Litchfield. I am disabled and unable to drive or get around on my own so I am unable to go to a Historical society and look at newpapers for an obituary, but I believe you should start looking for Edwin John Johnson's obituary in an old September/October 1977 Meeker County newspaper, for additional information and confirmation I was also looking at the Meeker County, Minnesota 1870 & 1875 census and found Gustaf, his siblings and parents in both. It appears to have been a large family. If you need that information just let me know. Regards Don
