Martin was my father's uncle. They had 13 children, the last one dying just last year: (Titus/ Sharkey Kuklok) Martin's parents were Peter and Johann (Zwak) Kuklok. Albina's parents were Math and Sophie (Jendro) Symalla. Martin died 11-17-1948, the same year as 2 of his brothers. Six of his children preceded him in death. Albina died in 8-20-1974. I had been doing quite a bit of research, but went back to school in fall 2002. Now I hope to actually finish my research and get a book done this year!

Sue, I have sent directly to you items found on Ancestry.com, namely, the obit on Titus "Sharkey" Kuklok which mentions his parents Kuklok & Symalla; MN death index data on Leo (Leon) Peter Kuklok and lastly a list of the 14 children of Martin Kuklok and Albina Symalla. There was an Edward with the correct death and birth dates whose mother's maiden name was listed as "Fraser". There are individuals who live near St Paul, Mn who do lookups of the death certificates at the history center there. One is a woman named Gwen who posted the following message on one of the message boards some time ago: I go to Historical Soc on Weds of the week and I can get death records $1.00 census $2.00 and obits for $3.00.. I also do Social Security Index for obits.. I am SS Disabled so this is one way I can make extra.. good work..sometimes extra.. She had a brother Silas that is my G grandfather. Thier father was Silas born ca. 1777 Penn. His wife was Marvel ca. 1781. We have been told that she was American Indian. Silas Sr died Feb 1818 at about age 41. He was hunting when he froze to death. This information was given to me. My own information is on the son Silas.
