I am a direct descendant of Maria Jax and her daughter Maria Hasling Fishbach, and her daughter Mary Hasling who married Jacob Simonis. I've been researching these lines, and my THIELEN line for years, and have collected extensive information, photos, ect...... Have been stuck on my Simonis line for a long while. My SIMONIS, THIELEN, HASLING ancestors all immigrated from the Luxembourg, Rhineland region of Germany to Stearns county, MN between 1870 and 1885. I think we must be related and descended from the same line? I was hoping we could exchange information. Hope to hear from you. Kelly Thielen greatgreat grand daughter of Jacob Simonis, b.1854, d.1925, MN, buried at St.Joseph's Catholic cemetery, Dickinson, ND, husband to Maria Hasling, and father of 12 children, many who went to Oregon.

Lidda Anne born in 1895 in WV, Katie M. born in 1898 in Minn., and Charles Buck born in 1899 in WV. I found a message from a Shirley on an article about Nick. Nick wrote an essay in 1936, about the families travels from Germany, to France, to the US. He lists the individual family members, and under John, has him listed as dying in 1929. John and Rosa split up somtime in 1901-2, and we the family assumed he had died at that time. My g grandmother Annie, didnt know what had happened to him. I have since found, he remarried in 1918 to a Scrilda Gibson, and they had 2 children. A girl that died young, and a son-Bernard James Stubbs. John died in 1929/30, Scrilda died in 1970, and Bernard died in 1971. I havent been able as of yet, to find any children for Bernard. I'm thinking the info I have by Ada isn't a transcription of the oral interview you are referring to. I have one 4-5 page document from the Museum, plus two pages obtained from my family. I will order a copy from the Stearns County Museum as well as order the History of Stearns County on ILL again as I missed that store information when I had those books on loan before. May I send you a copy (to your personal e-mail address?) of the picture I have of Elmer, Elizabeth and Erwin Loudon? They are on a front porch and I'm wondering if this couldn't be the store. You've been very helpful - thank you! Sue

Surnames: Stanley, Linn, Petty, Eaton Classification: Query Message Board URL: http://boards.ancestry.com/mbexec/msg/an/TJB.2ACI/1580.1.1.1.2.1.1 Message Board Post: She continued to run the store for a while, with Frank Block serving as manager. He then purchased the store but didn't keep it very long. Ultimately it was purchased by Eliel Peck who had a store and the Post Office in Kimball, and most of the stock was moved into town. The information on this is in the oral recording of Ada (Louden) Phillips at the Stearns History Center and also in a segment on Maine Prairie in Mitchell's History of Stearns County (1915). The Mitchell segment was written by my g-grandfather, Roger Stanley, who had owned the store before Loudens. He traces the sale of the store till it was discontinued at the Corners. But I don't have that copy at hand, as I am at work. If you need me to come up with the final changing of hands, just let me know.
