I believe Johann was a brother of my gg-grandfather, Michael Horsch. From what I can piece together, Johann was born in Wiesbaum, Germany in 1821. He immigrated to America in the 1840s, and settled in Wisconsin. He file for naturalization in Racine County, Wisconsin. He married Elizabeth Zirbes in Wisconsin around 1849. Michael and Elizabeth had two children in Wisconsin -- Joanem and Elizabeth. Their child Elizabeth was baptized at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Marytown, Fond du Lac County. Michael and Elizabeth moved to Stearns County, Minnesota between 1854 and 1858. According to the 1880 census, they had four more children in Minnesota -- Mathaias, John Adam, Agnes and Marie Eva. I would appreciate any information on Michael Horsch, Elizabeth Zirbes, or their descendants. Stearns County was a very uncommon destination for Finnish emmigrants... St. Louis County was very common, but not Stearns. I looked up the names you mentioned on the Finnish Institute of Migration website (see link below) and found the passport information for Aaro and the ship passenger information for both of them (see listings below). On the passenger lists, both indicate a destination of Wakefield, Michigan (which is a town in the UP --Upper Penninsula-- of Michigan, a common Finnish destination), not Wakefield, Minnesota (a township in Stearns County). I can search the 1910 and 1920 Census records of Wakefield Township in Stearns County for you if you are sure that the passenger records are incorrect. Let me know. -- Tom Oh dear, I did mix those abbreviations MN and MI, I never checked them from anywhere. Thank you, Tom! mika perala :)

Mary Loch (Aug 14, 1876 - Jun 23, 1934) married Cornelius Jungles (Arp 4, 1866 - Mar 9 1952). Both Mary and Cornelius are buried in St. Nicholas Cemetery, St. Nicholas, Stearns Co.
