    2. Sorry about the confusion. That was a general statement about the origin of the name "Reding." I do have several Reding and Didier relatives from Beckerich, Lux. that stayed somewhere in Minnesota for a period of time before heading to Illinois and other areas, but the names don't names don't match yours. jerry spears [email protected]

    2. Is this a general statement of the origin of the name - or do you have information specific to the Stearns County family named Reding? I have tracked the family back to Bouvange in the Canton of Luxembourg in Belgium. The three Reding brothers, Nicholas, Francois & Peter, came straight to Minnesota from Belgium along with the Hammerel family who were from Hondelange, Belgium. Both families considered themselves to be Luxembourgers.

    2. The only ZECHES on my list is John Zeches who was from Luxembourg and who married Catharina Pierre in New Riegel, Seneca County, Ohio in about 1854. The Pierre family was from Meysembourg, Luxembourg. They moved to St. Joseph, MN in Stearns County in about 1856-57. John Zeches died on 15 Oct. 1870 at St. Joseph, MN. HIs widow eventually remarried with Francis Brunner in Oct. 1871.

    3. http://www.familyhistorysites.com/collections/c007/index.htm "I have 14 old black/white photographs, unidentifiable, which were in an album I inherited from my great-uncle Michael Weyrens.  He was born in 1863 in Echternacht,  Luxembourg and died in 1924 in St. Joseph, Stearns County, MN.  He emigrated with parents and 3 siblings March 1867 to Cold Spring, MN.   He was a school teacher in Minnesota all his life - thus he probably had a lot of friends and acquaintances.  I'd give anything to connect any or all with rightful relatives - many are wedding photos, all from Minnesota, and I suspect the majority are from Stearns County MN - they are the kind on thick cardboard - the photography studio is listed and often the town name. If you recognize ANY of the persons in any of these pictures - please let me know!  My email address is [email protected]" The photographers from these pictures are from St. Joseph, St. Cloud, Albany, Wabasha, Paynesville and Laibach. Any help will be appreciated! Donna Guiffre www.FamilyHistorySites.com [email protected]
