Anyway I meant to use this URL because it goes right to the search page: http://www.ironrangeresearchcenter.org/scripts/runisa.dll?irrrb:searchresults The other page has the link kind of not obvious. 1. Re:Hugh Murphy in naturalization records.
    2. The Iron Range Research Center at http://www.us-census.org/states/minnesota/s-mn.htm#Stearns is supposed to have all the naturalization records that have been put on microfilm. They list 2 Hugh Murphys and one Margaret (Mrs. Hugh R. Murphy). Perhaps those are the two documents that you already have. If there are other ones you might have to go to Stearns County and do a search. Nancy Pundsack

    3. Hello! Just a reminder that partial censuses are available online and are ready for your viewing pleasure. If either of these years interest you, go to http://www.rootsweb.com/~mnstearn/2004/08/township-map.html and click on the township that you want to check (look under the Census heading). It may or may not have a census available. You can also see what's available for transcription: http://www.us-census.org/states/minnesota/s-mn.htm#Stearns Regards, Darrell -- Schulte | Braun | Nathe | Schoenberg | Caspers | Gerads | Stroeing | Minnerath Darrell Schulte - dschulte@wisc.edu University of Wisconsin-Madison - University Communications

Regarding this web site. Would list member be willing to write up something that describes this resource more fully and suggest some steps (or options [SHM; local Stearns library, etc]) to obtain the results of a query ("I found my great great great cousin's uncle's son's obit -- how can I get it?)? The resulting document would find a home on the Stearns County site of course in some capacity. They had a boat to cross the lake for passengers. Grace was a wonderful person and talked fondly of her father. She & her sister Gertrude were adopted by him, usually boys were wanted, but Joseph wanted a dark-haired girl (Grace) and a light-haired girl (Gertrude). These sisters married cousins. Grace married Mark Schafer and Gertrude married Louis Schaefer. Both of the families were settled in the Rockville area. If you have more info, please email me, r2rschafer@charter.net Thanks, Ruth
