Surnames: Schueller Classification: Query Message Board URL: http://boards.ancestry.com/mbexec/msg/rw/TJB.2ACI/1588.2.1 Message Board Post: Thanks for the confirmation. I just looked at the census myself. It is good to have another pair of eyes as some of it was hard to read. The dates here confirm the birth date of Anna Zenzen, immigrating in 1870. This entry is my grandmother and her mother, but the 1880 census was her uncle (Michael/Anna). Every Schueller family seems to have several Annas, Bernards and Michaels. I can not find her family in the 1880 census, but it is in the 1875 census for Stearns county listed under Schweller. There is some information about both families in the Stearns History Museum. I have e-mailed them but I didn't get a reply yet. Have you worked with them? Thanks again.

Bonnie, this must be a touch surname to research, with many possibilities for variant spellings. The difficulties are compounded by the German penchant for giving children numerous names and using them interchangeably on records. Here's what I found in the 1880 census, MN Stearns, Zion Township: Michael SCHUELLER 47 <1833> PRUS Male Self Anna M. Her first marriage to Varney was in 1852 in Ramsey County and I actually found that record. They moved to Canada, he died and she returned to St. Paul. I've requested records from Stearns, Ramsey, and Hennepin Counties, with no success. May I ask where you found the cemetery information? Although I do have that information, plus a picture of her headstone, it would be nice to have a cemetery list. Thank you for your response - I appreciate it -Sue

Fowler and Frances E. Bradbury Varney. They were married November 16, 1862; perhaps in Stearns or Ramsey County MN. They lived on Maine Prairie after they were married. The Stearns County Courthouse has not found a marriage record for them. I have seen the entry in the Fowler family Bible. By finding this documentation I am hoping to find more information about Frances and her family who came from Maine abt 1849. Any assistance / suggestions are most appreciated! Thank you, Sue Graham

My husband's great grandparents were Anund Knutson and Anna Svensdaither Tjaldal. He was born in 1944 in Bowbells, N.D. Anund and Anna's son Sigmund (Samuel) and Julia Martinson was his grandparents. His father, Anund Hartford Knutson was 1 of 7 children. Individual family members moved to California, where 4 of the sisters still live. According to the information I have, Anund's parents were Knut Sigmundsson Breland and Berit Asbjornsdtr Helleren. Anna Svensdaiter Tjaldal's parents were Sven Asbjornsson Helleren and Asgerd Olvavsdaiter Tjaldal. For some reason Sven took his wife's last name. I haven't been able to go back any further, nor do I have many dates for Anund and Anna. You mentioned Anund's death and Anna going to Bowbells. Do you know when this was? And from where? Hope this helps with some connections.
