I just received word from another Payton researcher that there was a Payton from St. Peter that died in April 1968 that had done a lot of Payton research. He had his research back a number of generations farther than anyone else has record of. Did he by chance happen to share his records with the Sibley County Historical Society? (Many times the kids are not interested in genealogy & the research is then turned over to the historical society.) Is there someone who reads these messages that would know if there is an answer to my question? MaryLu in Ottertail County
