Hello, On a recent trip to Minnesota, I was able to find some information on my husband's lines who resided for a time in Sibley County. I've included in this query portions of the probate records for PETER MCANDREW and his wife, MARY SWIFT MCANDREW. They were listed in Sibley County in the 1857 Territorial Census of Minnesota with their children. Their children's names were MARY MCANDREW married to PETER GARVEY, PATRICK MCANDREW died abt 1860, JAMES MCANDREW, HANNAH MCANDREW married ANTHONY WALSH/WELCH, MARGARET MCANDREW married first LAWRENCE FOLEY second Unknown MCNAMARA, JOSEPHINE MCANDREW married Unknown DONNELLY, WINNEFRED MCANDREW married GEORGE CLARK, PETER MCANDREW AND ELISA MCANDREW. Peter and Mary McAndrew were both born in Ireland as well as the oldest five of their children. George and Winnie Clark are found in the 1880 MN Federal Census, Jessenland, with their children Mary and William and George's brothers Frank and Chas.. Peter and Mary Garvey were in Minneapolis in the 1880 census with their children; John, Thomas, Mary, Bridget, Anthony, and Peter. Hannah and her husband, Anthony Walsh/Welch, are in Green Isle with their children John, Maggie, Joseph, Elizabeth, Ellen, James, William and Susan. Below are portions of the probate records. That said lands are in fair condition and ______ of $550 that it is necessary to sell the whole of said real estate in order to pay said debts, and your petitioner would therefore pray that license be to him granted to see the whole of said real estate, and he will ever pray.
