    1. BAKER, Calista, gravesite location, New Auburn, died 1893
    2. This is a Message Board Post that is gatewayed to this mailing list. Classification: Query Message Board URL: http://boards.ancestry.com/mbexec/msg/rw/VIB.2ACE/77 Message Board Post: I need help in locating the exact gravesite location for Calista Baker, nee Pratt, who died in New Auburn on 18 NOV 1893, 86 years old. The cemetery is not identified in her obituary or death record, but it is almost surely High Island Cemetery on 5th Avenue in New Auburn, also called New Auburn City Cemetery. I visited the cemetery in August 2004, and despite a thorough search, could not find her gravestone, so she is probably buried in an unmarked grave. Does anyone have a list of the burial records for this cemetery, so I could identify exactly where she is buried? For example, if I knew what gravestones surrounded her, then in my next visit I could at least snap a picture of the general area where she is buried. Any help is greatly appreciated.

And there is a Poelher in Saint Paul who is related -- my mother used to know his mother. Sorry I can't give more details.

    2. MaryLu
    3. I just received word from another Payton researcher that there was a Payton from St. Peter that died in April 1968 that had done a lot of Payton research. He had his research back a number of generations farther than anyone else has record of. Did he by chance happen to share his records with the Sibley County Historical Society? (Many times the kids are not interested in genealogy & the research is then turned over to the historical society.) Is there someone who reads these messages that would know if there is an answer to my question? MaryLu in Ottertail County
