"From Saundra Galliher ([email protected])" Entitiled "Surname--Rogness" Sept. 16, 2003 "Greetings, I am trying to locate any information regarding my maternal grandmother's family. She was born Inga Christina Rogness on Sept.11, 1891. I believe somewhere in Southern Minnesota USA. I was told that her mother died in childbirth with her and the family suffered the loss of the father within the next few years. There were five or six daughters and two brothers whose names were Nels and Edward Rogness. The brothers remained unmarried and farmed in Luverne, Minnesota until their deaths in the 1970's. All I know about my grandmother is that she was adopted by a woman whose name was Julia Gullick. My great-grandparents emigrated from Norway, but I do not know their names and the location in Norway where they came from. Is there anyway to research this, I an interested in finding my Norwegian family members, Thank you, Saundra Galliher."
