I'm not related to your line, but have a reference book that lists biographies from Rock County. It has bios for Adolph Schroeder and Frederick C. Nuffer. Let me know if you're interested in them. If so, I'll transcribe and send them via email.
Yes, there are still Nuffer's in Rock County.. Cletus (Cletis) Nuffer lives in a rather new home on an acreage about 3 miles east of Steen, MN. I don't recall what his address is, but it would be either Steen or Luverne. His two sons (George & Allen) live near Hills, Minn. Also, there is Larry Smith who is the son of Lucile Nuffer Smith and I think he RR#2, Luverne, MN.

I am VERY keen to trace the VICKERMAN family history, as my Father, Marmaduke Vickerman (theres a GREAT name huh?!) has taught me to be proud of my heritage. For your information, I found a liitle history already. Many years ago the VICKERMAN family were SQUIRES (landowners) of a village called WETWANG in East Yorkshire on the road to HULL. If you get an atlas of the Yorkshire area, you will be able to locate this village. I spoke a few years ago to the parish Priest, who showed me records of this event!!! Who needs the Lotto...we may be rich beyond our wildest dreams!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Brian, PLEASE keep in touch and e-mail me when you get this....Take care my friend and best wishes to you & your family!! Mark Vickerman Scotland (but I am ENGLISH!!)
