Good Afternoon, I have been looking for my Grandfather's brother, John Frederick Schrader, in Rock County. I have found him in a couple of census records. He has a wife listed as Jennie Victoria Schrader. John is buried in Luverne, Rock, MN. Jennie is buried in S. Dakota. Does anyone have any information on either of them. I have no information on Jennie's maiden name or family. Thank you, Joanne Camp

While digging in the family plot there were found two little boys' remains. When checking with my mother and my aunt the story went something like this: when the flu went around in the early 1920 - 30s some people were too poor to afford burial so when my grandpa's neighbors children died they were buried in our family's plot. SO we do not know who they were - the neighbors or the boys....Our family plot is ASLESEN. My grandpa's name was Erik Julius - he was the butcher in Jasper. Anyone knowing more about the story please let us know.......I will also place this information in Rock County, MN Important Note: The author of this message may not be subscribed to this list. Dagmar talked about Lessie and George, but I don't recall her mentioning other siblings. I have some photos of the family from the 1910s-1930s, but they're in storage. I believe that Dagmar's father worked for my great-grandfather in South Dakota. Important Note: The author of this message may not be subscribed to this list. (Info came from Wilson Library, U of M, Minneapolis, John R.Borchert map library. Sorry I don't have the book publication info in front of me). The land changed owners in 1860, and the new family was named Krebs. They lived on the farm until I believe sometime in the 1930's-40's. I have been unable to find any other info on Ferdinand Seibert as of yet! Best wishes on your search! Important Note: The author of this message may not be subscribed to this list. There was an old log cabin on this property (my family lived on this farm site from 1965-1977). When we moved to the farm, we were told that the log cabin was approx 108-125 years old. If this individual is part of your history, would like to share. I have two wonderful pictures of the log cabin. Important Note: The author of this message may not be subscribed to this list.
