Can anyone help him? Please respond directly to him, as he may not be subscribed to our list. (My suggestions are below.) Mary, ListMom ******* I'm searching for information on Edmund/Edmond GOOCH b. abt 1845 Ohio and I believe he died in St. Paul, Ramsey County between 1895 and 1900. I believe he married a Julia (Maiden Name unknown) about 1881. In the 1900 census Julia M GOOCH is a widow with one child, Mable GOOCH born about 1881. In the 1910, 1920 and 1930 censuses Julia GOOCH is a widow. Julia M GOOCH died 18 Oct 1931 Ramsey county, State File: 025099, Record: 602024. Any information you might be able to locate; ie: death record, obituary linking him and Julia or even the cemetery where buried, would be greatly appreciated. I will gladly pay for copying and mailing of information. I would like to thank you in advance for doing the lookup and information you might be able to locate. Charley Wade 425 So 159th Avenue Omaha, NE 68118-2134 ******* The source I use for lookups has only deaths that were listed in the city directories between 1888 and 1910 -- and there are no Gooches in it. This is not surprising, since it is a select group to begin with. However, the death records for the St. Paul Health Dept. AND the Ramsey County Health Dept. for that period have been microfilmed by the LDS for the Family History Libraries, and you can get the films from them to check it out. Deaths are recorded in the jurisdiction in which it occurred, and at the time both kept records (no duplication!). I'm also sending this to the MnRamsey mailing list. Someone on the list may have a connection to this family. The other option is to hire a researcher -- there's a list on the Ramsey MnGenWeb site at <http://www.parkbooks.com/MnGenWeb/swap.html> of people who will do such work in exchange for look-ups at other places or for hire. (I personally don't do such work.) I also have a list of professionals, though I don't know what they charge. If you'd like some names, let me know. Mary, ListMom
