List members: This person is seeking information on family and descendents of Thomas Burke. Can anyone help? Respond directly to him, as I do not know if he is on our list. Of course, if he died in MN, his death certificate will be available through the MN Historical Society (the free index is available through their website at <www.mnhs.org/>), as will be any newspaper death notices and obituaries. MHS is part of the national interlibrary loan program of public libraries, and your local public library can get them for you. It's a lot of fun to read the advertising, editorials, comics etc. from the era and place your ancestors lived, even if there isn't a lot of new information in a death notice.
