Off the top of my head, the only hospital I can think of that would be considered close to Mpls would be Midway Hospital, or the place on Como for unwed mothers. Seems like all the rest of the hospitals were/are in downtown St. Paul, with the exception of Gillette Childrens, which I think was still out on the east side, and St. Johns on the bluff. The VA is on the military reservation which is considered Hennepin County, and Vets is still in Hennepin County, as is the Uof M. The places most likely to be considered close to Minneapolis would be Roseville, St. Paul Campus (near the Como facility), along Como Avenue, along Larpentuer Avenue, anyplace east of Highway 280, Highland, and the only hospitals or medical facilities I can think of that far west are either of the above mentioned places. Can anybody think of one further west that I am missing? Annie in Minnesota
