    3. Can anyone help her? Since I don't know if she's on our list or not, be sure to send a copy of your response directly to her. Also note that the Minnesota Historical Society has microfilms of most newspapers that have been published in Minnesota, beginning with the Minnesota Pioneer in 1849 and extending to the current day. They have a special newspaper database on their website <http://www.mnhs.org/> which details their holdings and can be searched by city, county, dates, etc. (not names though!). The microfilms are available on interlibrary loan to most public libraries in the U.S. Check with your friendly local reference librarian for details! Personally, I find reading the old newspapers a hoot! The ads, the gossip columns, the op-ed pages, etc. all provide a sense of what it was like to live in the particular time period. And wouldn't a review of the play be a wonderful addition to the family history.
