I have an ancestor who lived at 473 Toronto Ave. from 1880's thru 1920. This was St. Paul Ward 4. Was from Bohemia. Does anyone know which church they might have attended? A previous post noted that there were three Bohemian congregtions in the area. Does anyon know what the names of those churches re? The main Bohemian parish--that I attended as a youngster-was St Stanislaus. I also went to school at St. Stan. It is still a very active Parish from what I hear. That is in the area near Toronto. My husband had an ancestor who lived at 463 Toronto in the years 1890-1891.!! Yours and his were neighbors!!They were the HUNA family. Other people in that area went To St Francis church which was a little further away. I don't know how Bohemian it was. St. Stanislaus was the primary Bohemian church in that area. St. James also had some Bohemian parishioners. Both churches are still very active. Ruth A.
