Hi Nancy, ST MATTHEW'S LUTHERAN CHURCH was one lot off of University and Dale St's., facing Dale St. The other church, a half mile away is FAITH LUTHERAN CHURCH on Charles and MacKubin St's. ST MATTHEW"S was a German Lutheran church that had German services on certain days. Both churches are still serving congregates, although St. Matthew's has moved to Lexington and Minnehaha Ave's. Another thought is the Minnesota History Center. A neighborhood newspaper I don't know if there is or was one. That area is referred to as FROGTOWN. Regards, Judy
