Destination was southeastern MN, and from there Jens moved to west central MN. I have had no luck trying to trace brother Karl after arrival in the states, but recently found a copy of a homestead certificate for a plot of land in Polk County registered to a Carl J Bliksrud in November 1889. This is the spelling of the place name in Norway, and is quite uncommon, so I'm looking for more info on this Carl in the Crookston/Polk County area to determine if he is the right one. Any leads will be greatly appreciated!

Look at familysearch.org.
