Posted on: Polk County Obituaries Reply Here: http://cgi.rootsweb.com/~genbbs/genbbs.cgi/USA/Mn/PolkObits/57 Surname: Dufault, Mercil ------------------------- Probably from the Crookston Times; Mrs Mary Louise Dufault, 80, a resident of the Crookston area for the past 78 years and a resident of St Vincent Rest Home for the past two years, died Thursday night, November 15, 1956, at a Crookston hospital from a heart attack. She was born August 13, 1876, in Quebec Canada. She was married to Pierre Dufault in 1892 in Gentilly. Her husband died in 1933. Surviving Mrs Dufault are five daughters, Mrs Albina Anderson of Minneapolis, Mrs Lucien Brule of Yakima, Wash., Mrs Art Brouette of Richmond, Calif., Mrs Tony Elbinger of Crookston, and Mrs Willard Heldstab of Bemidji; four sons, Leo of Crookston, Armand of Minneapolis, Alphonse of San Rafael, Calif., and Albert of St Paul; one brother, Louie Mercil of Minneapolis, 54 grandchildren and 56 great-grandchildren. Six children preceded her in death. She was a member of St Anne’s Sodality and St Anne’s Catholic Church. Funeral services will be held Monday at 9:30 a.m. at St Anne’s Church with Msgr M. Dufault officiating. The body may be viewed at the Houske Funeral Home Sunday afternoon and evening. Recitation of the Rosary will be Sunday at 8 p.m. Interment will be at the Gentilly Cemetery.
