She was born December 29, 1905 at Erskine to John and Elizabeth Lind. She moved to the Twin Cities in md-1930's, where she was a waitress at Normandy Motor Hotel until retiring. She married Ernest Johnson in St Paul. She entered Fair Meadow Nursing Home in Fertile in 1984 and ws a resident of Fosston Nursing Home. She is survived by one son, Bruce Johnson of Minneapolis; one daughter, Leona Decker of Richland, Washington. one brother, Lester of Erskine; six sisters, Ina (Mrs Art) Gulbranson of Fertile, Evelyn (Mrs Earl) Larson of Starbuck, Mn; Bernice (Mrs Don) Halvorson of Minneapolis, Jennie (Mrs Bill) Lee of Fertile, Winnifred (Mrs Clarence) TerWisscha and Joyce (Mrs Robert) Johnston of Minneapolis; four grandchildren. Her parents, her husband, one sister, three brothers, and two grandchildren preceded her in death. Funeral services were held Saturday, December 3, 1988 at 11 a.m in Union Lake Lutheran Church with Rev. Roy Johnson offciating. Pallbearers were Bill Lee, Art Gulbranson, Earl Larson, Clarence TerWisscha,and Robert Johnston. Interment, Lima Cemetety, rural Erskine.
